1. Forum Posting Guidelines / Terms of Use
1/1.Please post in the relevant
forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting.
1/2 Members should use an
appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic.
1/3 Please keep
replies to each thread “on topic” Please think carefully
when posting a new topic, which section of the forum is best suited
and when replying to other members posts / topics, whilst jokes and
banter are great and encouraged on the forum, it is important to keep
your replies on topic .. its easy to do both in the same post ....
1/4 IT IS VERY IMPORTANT
that you understand many people read the messages on this forum without
registering, some of these people may not be of a friendly nature, and
could use information posted, against you, PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL about
the personal information you post about yourself. If you wish to exchange
personal details, such as phone numbers, with other members of the forum
we suggest you contact the user directly via the private messaging feature, or better still
take it offline at a meet.
Please DO NOT post personal, real life information such as home addresses and
home phone numbers on the open Forum.
1/5 Respect is the name of
the game. You must respect your fellow members. Please refrain from
inflammatory and defamatory comments as well as flaming, taunting and
general disrespect. Do not simply put down the opinion or advice given
by others. If you don't agree with it, say why - respectfully. Don't
just tell them they're wrong. When an opinion based discussion is being
had, do not state things like "there is no argument" as if
your opinion is the only one or the only one that matters. Remember,
this is not a debate club. This is a friendly discussion community.
Allow people to have their opinion. No one is to act as some sort of
opinion judge, responding to each one to say whether they agree with
it or not or whether or not it is a valid, well thought out opinion.
Members should also remember this board is aimed at a general audience.
Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc.
will not be tolerated.
1/6 Members are asked to
not act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue
which contravenes something in this document they are welcome to bring
it to the attention of a member of Admin or moderator team. Please Do
Not respond to such topics yourself.
1/7 Spam is not tolerated
here under any circumstance. Posts containing Advertising (other than
private ad’s in the “for sale” section) and Usernames
that advertise other products, companies or sites are not permitted
without prior agreement.
1/8 Political and religious
discussions are not allowed on this website. If it is believed that
the end result of a discussion will be political or religious, the post
may be removed. Likewise, strong political and religious sentiments
should be kept out of profiles, signatures and other content.
1/9 The above forum rules,
where applicable, also apply to private messaging.
1/10 Members are welcome
to use the test area for general "test purposes". These may
include checking signatures, testing a link or image, etc. (subject
to previous points on decency, etc.). Users should not post to the test
forum just to increase their post counts
2. Copyright
/ Terms of use
2/1 Members are asked to
respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking
to re-printing material without permission will be removed.
2/2 Members should respect
the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline ([IMG][/IMG])
image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which
the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.
2/3 Posting of images that
are hosted by BCFR, on other sites, is not permitted. Not only are images
hosted here copyright, this increases bandwidth use to serve other sites
which costs additional money.
2/4 We know that people will
have to leave our community (of their own free will or otherwise) from
time to time and to that end, we do not delete accounts, posts or other
content posted on our community. All content is granted to us with perpetual
electronic publishing rights because any content posted on this community
becomes a part of the community, even if you no longer are. You may
request an item to be removed at any time, but we will decide when and
if to remove content from our community. If you wish to no longer be
identified with our community, we will be glad to close your account
and alter your profile information to remove all identifying characteristics.
After account closure, you will no longer be able to participate in
this community and this action is not reversible.

of completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible

3/2 The moderating, support

to enforce these terms and we reserve the right to report to your ISP
3/6 From time to time we
may amend these terms of use for BCFR, when we do you will be presented
with the updated information. Any activity that continually goes against
these terms of use may result in access to the site being suspended
or withdrawn. We maintain the right to remove and deny access to any
user at any time without prior discussion or agreement if we deem it
necessary, as access to BCFR is not a right.
3/7 BCFR is moderated by
a team of people who use the site, are fellow bike enthusiasts and do
all of this in their own time. They are here for all of you, please
respect our efforts are for the good of BCFR and that we are only human.
That's the blurb
out of the way. Thanks for taking the time to read this and enjoy our
community.
BCFR Admin.
